In 1941 my great grandma killed a HUGE 4 x 4 at 8:30 in the morning in an area within unit 242, not a big deal right? Well her sister killed a HUGE 4 x 4 on the same morning at 8:30 in 218, my grandmas was 29 inches wide and her sisters was 29 wide, grandmas buck field dressed at 284 lbs and her sisters................280 :bash:.I posted pics on here of the 2 bucks a few years ago, looked like twins but killed 50 miles apart. 2 years later they both "lassoed" another big 4 x 4 that could have been the  triplet to the other two, it was killed in 224, I had fun posting that picture, thats one of the pictures everyone was copying so I pulled most of my pictures off.

Congrats to your dad Dave, I didn’t realize Alta was such a good draw!  I don’t know the unit at all, but if I have time and you guys need help packing, I’m in!

It truly was a different valley 25 and more years ago for sure

And to the OP, yes, congratulations to your dad on the draw, like I said before, certainly not what it used to be but nowhere in the valley is. Still at that time of year and throw in some weather and your dad will do just right.......good luck

Thanks man, but I think this will be shortest pack I've done in years so we should be okay. :)
Also, just in case it wasn't clear, we both drew the tag.

David, you and your Dad will do the tags justice and I know the hunt write-up will be even better 😉

My dad's 2015 General Season Buck.  I'd love to draw that late tag.
"I love my country, I love my guns, I love my family,
I love the way it is now and anybody that tries to change it has to come through me.
That should be all of our attitudes.
Cause this is America and a country boy is good enough for me son..."
