How long has it been since they sold out on all non res archery elk tags?? I don't remember this happening before, it was going to be an automatic tag this year if we didn't draw anything in WA. Not now, that sucks!

Is there anyway to find out who's got what and how many? Just start making calls?
Elk Zones (Including capped zones)You can contact most any outfitter in a zone that you want to hunt. Elk Controlled HuntsThere is a list of the controlled hunt units and how many outfitter tags for that unit in the regulations. You can get on the state website to see which outfitter to contact for the unit you want to hunt in.

You use to have to call and tell them what tag you wanted and they put you on a list and come august depending where you were on that list you got called and asked if you wanted a tag. I was called last year for Elk city. This year has changed and everything will go up Aug 13 online that are left over from the unsold outfitter tags
