Buck Meadows open or closed?
« on: September 09, 2020, 12:53:57 PM »
Anyone know if Buck Meadows /Gooseberry flats Area is closed or not? I know you have to cross some DNR land to get there; so not sure if there is access or not.

Just up there yesterday, there were several camps set up on the way up, but not a ton.  All gates were open. I drove by BM campground but not in it, didn’t appear to be closed.  There were tons of signs on way up that Forest was closed, no entry.  But after a call to Cle Elum ranger station I decided to go for it.  NFS lands are not shut down yet.  Inslee and WA state DNR can pack sand for all I care.  NFS will have to shut down forests and gate them to keep me out of there this weekend.  Already have a bunch of *censored* squirreled away up there.  They need to give us more notice than a day.  It didn’t suddenly go from lush and green to tinderbox overnight.  This has been building for weeks.  If they wanted to keep people out of the woods, they should have given a little more notice and done it before Labor Day.  Rant over!

If there's any elk there , a fire will be announced or roads will be closed claiming there's fire danger or concerns 😂🤣😁😀 just speaking from experience , thing is , Mr. Green Jeans didn't seem to care a bit about our camp getting robbed the day before , but he had all kinds of fairy tales of how big the fires were , basically doing his job , ( protecting the states revenue !!! ) D A M I T !!  😠😡😵🤪😳 evidently he just got a call from a government issued heliochopter saying hey ! There's the heard , shut down that road quick !!
loction location location ! perzackly !
