As a consummate critic of the Department, I will give them credit for moving forward instead of just rolling over.

Sad to hear the Skagit tag is losing land as well as fewer tags overall.

A large reason wdfw gets died is because they are very deficient following the states rule making and sunshine laws. I don’t know the merit of this claim but this sounds like the normal process challenge.

I caught part of a meateater podcast today at work. They were talking about the commission meeting to set 2021 WA spring bear seasons, and how there were over 500 anti's in attendance, while only 1 person spoke up in favor of bear hunting. Due to the meetings being held online now instead of in person, it is allowing anti hunting groups from all over the country to attend who wouldn't normally be there. Us hunters are going to have to get more involved and get better at being the squeaky wheel if we have any hope of staying relevant.

How do people get notified for these meetings? I don’t even know when they’re going on.

I get E-mail notifications from WDFW

We need to remove Barbra Baker from the Commission, her term ends at the end of 2022. Are there any local sportsmans groups working on ensuring the Governor does not re-appoint her or another anti-hunting commissioner? She voted against this rule change, she voted against the August start date of Bear season, she started the ban on hunting competitions. We need more more members of the commission on the side of sportsmen and women. Barbra Baker is not one of them!
