So it’s made it’s way out of committee, what happens next? Just getting to the point in my life where I actually care and the process has never been taught (I know I know, besides the point)

Can we do anything to improve our position at this point?

Goes to the rules committee which decides if it will go for a full House vote. Basically just contact your reps. In all likelihood it's a done deal.

Things got real quiet on 5078... Am I correct that they still have three days to pass this?  Anyone heard anything on this one?

Some of the Intel I've heard says 72 hours till the vote.  Make sure your reps know your feelings.

Here's a response I got from my house rep:

Carl

This bill did not get a public hearing and will not move forward this session.  Thanks for letting me know that you oppose it.

Weird...it doesn't look dead to me .
And if I recall it's had two public hearings.

I made my comment on the Companion HB 1164.  So I assume that is what she is referring to.

1164 is dead, you need to comment on 5078

MAG BAN WILL BE VOTED ON TODAY.
POUND ON THE WEAKEST Ds RIGHT NOW!
Folks, this is it. The biggest fight for us, our children, and all the nearly 3/4 million new gun owners in Washington this past 2 years.
The mag ban (SB 5078) is going to be voted on today, probably at the last possible moment.
We need EVERYONE to hit this super hard. Take a 15 minute break and let's overwhelm them. Let's ensure they know that this is the single biggest issue that will guarantee that they'll lose their seats in the Fall.
Here are instructions, links, and email addresses you can copy and paste:
https://bit.ly/22-EAOD14
Please share this far and wide. We need EVERYONE to drop what they're doing and take action NOW.
