Thanks.  It is getting closer.  Got 2 new turkey hunters going out the 16th and a WA National Guard soldier going out Saturday with me.

I've got a four day weekend for the opener already setup at work. Hoping to drop my first Central Washington gobbler.

Those look like beauties, Russ. It'll be my first time attempting to hunt turkeys this year -- I'm super excited and really looking forward to it.

Just got back from a few days scouting from Trout Lake Valley to Goldendale.  Have never seen this many turkeys in one trip.  Watched 22 long beards strutting in the evening light.  No hens or jakes in that flock.  Where as mature toms and hens seemed plentiful really didn't see a normal amount of jakes.  I haven't kept up the last couple of years of what's going on over there so possibly a poor chick crop last year?  Deer were plentiful, looked to be in good shape, with a fair number of fawns surviving the winter.  Good signs for a successful year.
