Hey! Rambo fixed a hole through himself with bloody gunpowder so we all know that was true! I am sure it will work!
I also heard baring the ends of a 110 cord and putting one bare end on each side of the tick while plugged in will work as well! Really! It will work! I am sure!
Listen.  This is 2021. Please be careful.

Everyone's a doctor thanks to the internet

LOL

Lyme disease is actually extremely rare in our state. That is probably why his doc wasn't worried.

Most people here get it from traveling. It's more of an east coast problem.

Our ticks don't normally carry it.

But definitely take the bug spray when turkey hunting.

My Mom got Lyme disease when she was young. apparently it still affects her occasionally, she's not one to whine so you don't hear about it

I contracted it in this state years ago when almost no one out West was getting it. Most docs never gave it a thought as a potential disease when confronted with the symptoms. I think that is still the case. I suspect many more have the disease but are never correctly diagnosed with Lyme disease because of the rarity. I once had pulmonary embolisms and it took the hospital two days to figure out what was going on. Doc that saved me said it was fairly rare and so they did not immediately diagnose me because they rarely see it. Same thing with Lyme only even less of a chance of having it.

Yea the symptoms can be random and they miss it all the time.

If you get bit you can send the tick in to have it tested.

Most cases are on the west side but I would guess that is from out of state traveling.

Dog had a tick after shed hunting yesterday in moose areas.

They're up and crawling, even though we were tromping through snow with bare patches.

Went ahead and treated the dogs with tick prevention oil on their shoulders.
