Went up in that area a few years ago in late May to do some morel hunting. Went in from the north on Kendall Skyline, which was still snowed in and impassible somewhere around 4500-5000 feet. Got off on some finger ridges in the 4000-4500 fit range just below snowline and found some morels... Anway just something to be aware of as far as access - Coming in from lower trailheads in the south might be your best bet.

What was the kill date?I might do a solo camping trip up in the Blues in April sometime if i get my chores done. The "working from home wife" could probably use a break from me. I'll report road conditions if i do.The spring bear hunting threads are my favorite to follow.
