I'll trade 100 primers for a pound of springer, seems like they are both worth about $100. :chuckle:  Let's see some pics of fish here!

For 100 primers I’ll just go to the store and buy a farmed and raise salmon. Vacuum seal it and send it to your house😂😂😂😉🥃🇺🇸

No prob, I have plenty of primers that are in great shape, just a minor dimple on the flat side. :chuckle:

Columbia springers are right up there with black cod for my favorite fish anywhere in the world.

Fresh Alaskan sockeye for me.  Black cod is damned good to but harder to come by.

Black cod and Columbia River Springer caught in the lower river are my two favorite eating fish by far. We struggled near Kalama, but went down to Cathlamet and hooked 4 fish. Working on the video and blog post. I'm hoping hoping hoping, we get another opener after this expected closure, cause we found a sweet working formula!

Thanks! I hope everyone had a good springer season. I'm really hoping it will open again in a few weeks! We made a video / updated our blog page with our 2021 results and a few things we learned.

One big change was to use the coldwater strong bumper leaders. Huge huge benefit fishing with that type of setup that's common on the columbia river. No bad tangles and arts / crafts projects!
