Skamania County are such fools not to expand parking on that launch.   Highway parking for boat trailers?   Ridiculous.   Dump a 1000 loads of rock and make some room.   50 years overdue.    Caught my first salmon there - about 55 years ago.

:yeah:  stupid! place is a cluster %$# and long overdue to make some changes. Rigs being towed constantly and near miss wrecks daily. Then you have to drive down highway if you are parked on highway to get trailer turned around

I wont fish it. I fish for fun and to relax. Nothing relaxing about that kind of fishing and bumper boats.

That fishery should be youth and over 65 type fishery. No Guides! I'm always in awe to think how much money is going around and down that Toilet Bowl fishery. It does make for good intertainment at times................... :chuckle:

Yes there’s lots of fish being caught. And yes they need to work on the launch. You would think they could at least afford to paint some fresh lines for the parking spots every year with all those launch passes they sell. At least they were cracking down on people illegally parked. I witness 3 vehicles getting towed Thursday and Friday.

3:40 on a Sunday after half the people left. Watched for 5 minutes saw a few fish caught and a couple boat collisions.

Any idea when they will get those pillars out of the water they were using to put in the new bridge?

Yes this summer and fall we will demo all old concrete bridge piers and wingwalls then pull all steel pile. It will tough to tell there was ever an old bridge there when finished.

If it's open for salmon and there are any fish being caught, plan on it being a zoo.  It's the new normal.

No not really. Specially not this last week. On a normal decent run where the fishing is spread out over a month and a half it’s not as bad. Specially on weekdays but weekends are always a joke.

Any reports from over the weekend?  Got an invite to fish it tomorrow, so just checking on how it was.  Just as crowded as the prior weekend?
