Barely legal II
« on: November 10, 2007, 02:18:12 PM »
I had a thread last year, and I'll get a link to it for you new guys, but it was basically legal or not.  Twos or threes that you question whether or not they are legal.  Some would fool you.  I figure this can be the sequel.

This guy was barely legal as a small three.  You'd ahve to be standing on him though.

Here is one that isn't legal...if I remember right, a big 2

This guy was a legal three.  He was about 600 yards out.

This buck showed up right before dark about a hundred yards uphill from the above buck.  He was a long stinkin ways away.  We figured (as a joke as we would never do that) if we put the crosshairs about the top of the rack, it might hit him in the brisket.

Got among this guy's does yesterday (about 23 of them) for a while, 4 smaller bucks were working the does but he never showed. Could be he got tagged. :dunno:

Sorry got the wrong buck, this dial up is sooooo slow it through me a loop. The buck I was referring to was the one on the top of the ridge, ski lined, we joked about how far it was up there. Never seen him again.

I knew what you were talking about.  They have a way of never being in the same spot again.  Out of all the bucks I take pics of, rarely will I find the same ones lurking.  Once that doe is bred, off they go.

i would say legal...looks like its a 2x3 with the leftside (rightside picture) is lined up just right. but that front point is a little short and looks like it would be a little fork...

Well done guys
That one was hard to tell but it just barely looked like a fork on that bucks left side our right so I had to go with it and say yes after a long while of studying.

yeah you can just barely see the tip of the second point...and that 3rd point is way to small and at a wrong angle for it to have just been a 2pt...on that side.
