GUNSMITH REFERRAL
« on: August 29, 2021, 09:19:20 AM »
Does anyone know of and have experience with a reasonable gunsmith in the Enumclaw/Issaqauh area?
I have an older SAKO Finnbear that I would like to have the trigger adjusted on.
I work in Issaquah, live in Enumclaw, so the two towns are in my wheelhouse.
Also, if there is anyone that actually knows what they are doing that could help me, that would be great.
Having reviewed a few videos, I'm a little reluctant to do it myself, but I will if I have to.
I bought a trigger pull gauge and adjusted my Tikka, which was a snap, but as stated, the Sako looks a little more difficult.
This isn't something I want to screw up.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
I can be reached here or on my cell which is (425) 894-3330.

Rob.

I had great service from Southridge Arms in Edgewood.  Ask for Dave Nielson.

If they sell a timney for that gun I would go that route. I had my kimber adjusted and it doesn’t feel anywhere near as good as my timney at 2.5 pounds on my ruger.

Thank you for your input.
I have a meeting set with Boatman on Friday.
If he can do the adjustment in a few days, I'm Golden.

As for an aftermarket, I have another old Sako with a three pound pull that is real nice.
I've always liked that trigger and don't see the need for a better "Feel".
The adjustment process is what bothers me.

As a side note, there is nothing on these old Sako's that is not First Rate.
They were tack drivers in the late 60s and still hold their own against all the newer stuff on the market.

Anyways, I will post my feedback in a week or so.

Thanks again,
Rob.
