With the Reservation permit you can hunt upland game, waterfowl, bunnies, etc... I always buy mine at Bi-mart. I don't know of anyone hunting this unit recently, but I know in the past some very large elk have been killed up there. There really isn't a definite southern boundary(that I know of). It is basically an imaginary line from reservation creek to coyote rocks I believe. I think it is quite a drive to get up in there, but I have never done it, just looking at the maps.

You could always camp on the Cowiche side and drive over into the other unit if you wanted to camp.

[/quote]Tree Phones is probably the closest campground.  Its basically right on the boundary.  Five or ten minute drive and your hunting.

This is an excellent spot for an elk I have hunted this area for years what time of the year is your hunt?
I will get you the name and number of the current owners of the property and there are a few state land sections in the unit. I haven't spent allot of time in that area after they logged it. But there are some good spots that they cant log.

Hi Yak,
Did find the phone number of the owner?

Thanks, anthing would help.

I have not had any luck with the number, I know the Yakima Nation's Forester and I asked him and he told me that the owner is in Idaho he said he didn't have a number you might take a drive up and see if you can stop a truck they should still be logging not sure, How about the GIS maps online? It might say who the owner is. If you cant get what you need PM me and I will tell you how the get an elk without having to drop all the way to the bottom.

I will try that, but also If you have any suggestions on how to get them without going all the way to the bottom, I would love to know.

Thanks, logger
I will try, this is actually my backup plan.  I am hunting opening day NE WA for a big Bull with Outfitter.  If I don't have any success because of weather or who knows what then I will hunt with this tag in mid October to fill my freezer.  Thank you for you help.

Austrian,
