Whitetail Rut Activity

Haven’t seen a thread posted this year for whitetail rut activity observations so I figured I’d start one.

Saw a few chasing does this morning in 121, but hard to find a place to park on state or open land. Way more hunters than usual, suspect the weekend will be a zoo. Still not what I'd call full rut activity.

:bash: torn between trying a very busy spot where I know there were doe in the early season or a little more seclusion but not nearly as much doe activity....

Personally, I'd choose quality over quantity.

I live in 127 and watch deer daily out window , young bucks are out harassing the older ones are still at night with a little interest . I have a cam in 124 that’s the same thing young ones harassing and big ones at night.

Yesterday in 121, I saw 3 spots that a buck was scraping and I got one of those on a trail cam.

Saw 3 small bucks this evening with the first rut activity I’ve seen. Just minor chasing and checking does.

Several groups of does today with no bucks. Saw a couple small bucks cruising solo and a few fresh rubs.
