I'm slow, is there an actual petition to sign or just comment through the link in the 1st post?

Should we also be contacting our friend Larry to suggest he reconsider his vote?

This is the only petition I know of currently. Like special t said, I’d like to see the meeting where this was stated. Regardless we should all be contacting the commission about this showing our disgust with the vote and desire for a spring bear season.

I followed the link in the first post that takes you to the comment page for the commissioners, then pasted the comment from word that I had typed up. It has you fill in name, address, ETC. then a place for comment, and to add a file if need be. In a nut shell asked them to add spring bear to the agenda in January and vote with the science not the emotion.  :twocents:

I seen this on FB tonight and didn't see anyone talking about it here so wanted to share.

At tonight's WDFW public meeting the WDFW Director stated that there is a petition to establish a spring 2022 bear season to be voted on during the Jan 21 2022 commission meeting and that it is imperative to let the commissioners know your position or they may not take up the petition.

Here is a link to contact the commission: https://wdfw.wa.gov/about/commission/contact Hope this helps.

Anyone  know what day this was stated or which topic they were speaking about?

https://wdfw.wa.gov/about/commission/meetings/2021

The last commission meeting was the Dec 2-4 so it would have to be a different one.

I seen it posted yesterday 12/14 and the post was an hour old.  I agree we don't know what meeting the OP was referring to.  Maybe I was being too hopeful but it does talk about a vote on Jan 21, 22.  Can someone find out to verify there is a vote on Jan 21st?   Either way we are making some noise to the commission.

I believe it is a formal petition, not the change.org petition.  I am not sure who, or how many have been submitted, but this is the form and the RCW

This video was from the 12/7 South Central open house.  The more recent open house on 12/14 provided more information.

Here is a link to a clip I pulled from the most recent open house meeting.  Sounds like the petition information may be more recent than the 12/7 meeting.

Its been 10 minutes since this was bumped so here's a TTT! Everyone should be filling this out. Hell I just had my wife submit a a comment.
