Question about old peep sights
« on: May 06, 2009, 06:23:55 PM »
My dad gave me an old box of stuff the other day and I was going through it and found a bunch of old front sight parts and aperatures for old peeps sights. Any idea who makes these? I'm thinking Lyman but I can't find any distinguishing marks that say so. The one on the right is a Redfield and the only reason I know is it's written on it. Probably going to throw them on ebay or something not sure what the heck to do with them but from what I've seen some are going for about $80.

Also found an old TC brass butt plate in there too. Check'em out.

Any help would be appreciated.

Some animals WERE harmed in the making of this Hunter. They were also dragged through the dirt, butchered and tasted delicious fried with butter and bacon.

If that center one has an arch to the base it's probly for a Savage 1899/99.  Take a picture from the side and post it over at 24hourcampfire.com in the Savage Collectors Forum.

Those are pretty cool
