I’ve met the people who do the draws, seen it happen, they work hard and take pride in everything being perfect. I just can’t imagine how messed up something is, it must be a big mess. Can’t see how it could happen this far into the game, I wonder if they were hacked or something??

Couple questions Trophyhunt.
All purchases are linked to a computer system. So say you purchase your apps for multi season. Does it automatically go into the drawing? If you purchase a point for multi season and choose the point option only does it then automatically take you out of the drawing?

If both those things automatically happened wouldn't it only take a press of a button and instant results? Just wondering why 2 categories has taken 18 days and no results? Is everything entered manually into a drawing? It seems like there is something to this I am missing.

everyone is in the drawing whether you put in for points or a tag, #Rainier10 @Rainier10 might  remember more than me but they have to check to make sure everyone that bought an app was actually put in the draw, then make sure their points went away.  It is a button fast deal once certain actions are taken, I have to believe there was a complete melt down or hack at this point.

If you follow the stories of Government computer systems you should just expect it to be a mess.  Every time some big software company comes in to implement an expensive overhaul of anything it costs too much, takes too long and never really works right.

I am in IT so I watch these stories with interest as it shows the negligence at work when tax payer money is being spent. I have also worked with many of these large companies that market how they can solve all your problems, usually their own sites do not work right and are not properly integrated across their own company.  I will just say this is what I expect most of the time with any government computer system.   Now with that rant out of the way, I do not blame the mid level workers or blame them, they don't choose these programs or companies that is done at a higher level of corruption  I mean management....
In God we trust, all others bring cash.

Do not say, Why were the old days better than these? For it is not wise to ask such questions.

Called WDFW earlier today about a points problem and asked the lady if she knew. She said they have not been notified when the drawing will run. She did say their new computers are causing massive problems.

Still no multi results, but I logged on about an hour ago and everything was enabled to allow me to submit all my special permit apps a day early (I didn’t submit any of them).  :chuckle:

It takes a long time to print every application and put them in a hat guys. Give them a break. A lot can go wrong.

LMAO

sad thing I trust that more than the computer crap they do and would still be faster hand drawing than the BS they do.
