We drew our landowner deer licenses and we also drew our limited entry mule deer buck permits. Most of Montana has a 5 week general season. The area we hunt in unit 4 only has a 3 week general season (closes two week early). With the special permits we will be able to hunt 2 weeks longer like the rest of the state during the peak of the rut. The landowner licenses only allow that we can hunt on the deeded land of the ranch. But 12,000 acres should be enough for the 5 of us. It has been for the last 13 years. Wasn't until 2 years ago that we started doing the landowner option due to the mass increase of applicants. Should be a great hunt! Good Luck to all!
