I just bought in person to avoid it all. Got the Get Outdoors so a little easier than if you're picking and choosing.

Worst part was when he asked me how many ducks I killed last year...embarrassing!

I didn't have to put in for spring bear this year, so I didn't have a reason to buy any tags

They stuck it in someone else’s envelope. This year I got my tags in the mail..along with a bear tag for another person.

I bought all my stuff on line once you could put in for permits. Nothing in the mail yet.

I never ever buy license and tags on line. I have my favorite spot to go for them where most the folks know me. I like paying money and walking out with what I paid for.

Clerk at Lowes tried to direct me to Self Check out the other day.

I told her if I wanted to work there , I would put in a application.

Seem Like you should get a discount on you tags if they can’t meet their obligation to you in the allotted time.

Few years ago I bought online and they plain and simple never sent them to me. I called them up and they basically said, "we are sorry to hear you lost your tags, we can sell you replacements". Tried to push back, failed, and ended up paying the fee. I think this was 2020 so I am not necessarily surprised but it was still bs.

My tags took several weeks to get but did finally get to me. Good thing, one of the turkey tags is already spent.

Same thing happened here.  I ended up printing my receipt and going without a transport tag.  Shot a bird, dated and signed my receipt.  F'm!!
This state is too incompetent to even work the mail system!  Clowns.
Decided to hunt Turks in Idaho on a whim.  Ordered a tag last Monday.  Arrived in 5 days.  Like magic!

Thos os my exact plan. I’m on phone incompetent wdfw right now and they are telling me i can file for an extension for my license. When i bring up the tag issue they say, “well you can’t go hunting then”. Wrong f’ing answer. I’m going to create my own tag on back of license and have it witnesses by my hunting partner. This state is so screwed up :bash: :bash: :bash:

Almost seems like a scam .. claim you mailed something, blame the postal service for no delivery, re charge for something already paid for ...

checking my USPS informed delivery email this morning, looks like my licenses and tags might actually show up today so I won't have to go in to their office  :IBCOOL:... Hopefully things get through the pachinko machine that is the mail system for you guys. :bash:

If I thought they were clever enough to run a scam I might agree with you.  :chuckle:

On line, in your orders, it indicates a "shipped date".  My tags arrived 3 weeks after the shipped date.  Hell I could have walked to Olympia and back in that time!

My favorite is you still pay a dealer fee if you buy direct through the state.  They don't charge a dealer to use their system or paper but they charge us.

It's one of those things, spend time at the store and hope you get someone who knows what they are doing so you can buy the 27 things you need or hope the state mails you the right stuff in a reasonable timeframe.

Makes me like the app based license idea many states are going with more and more every day.

The state is a actually pretty versed in scamming people.....since the whole special permit system they are selling is nothing more than hopes and dreams  :chuckle:
