Few years ago, friend was doing the late rifle (deer) here in 121 and watched a bull drop one on the 18th, grabbed it after bull walked over a small rise then went in and got the other one the next day.  Certainly the exception, but ya never know.

I filmed one a couple years ago that dropped about the 13th. I assumed it was broke off as I have also seen, but nope naturally shed.

Josh told me his site is out of date, they are working on it. But with talking w him, he’s a straight shooter, and working hard for his current client.  We hope we can spend time w him in the late season, but we are preparing to DIY.  If his client pays him till the end of the season, the wife and I will stay in the wall tent and get it done.  Can’t wait for the snow to fly!! Flygiude, best of luck to you, hopefully we can share a beer. Be back over there nov 17-26.

Yes that would be nice to hook up, I have a fair amount of flex time and may hunt right through Thanksgiving as well or the last few days. My late November schedule is really open so I may be up there. Plenty of bulls for everyone.

A member on here drew the tag a few years ago.  He was so intent on killing a monster bull (and was being super selective) that he ran his late tag out to the last day.  If I remember the story correctly, he found the bull he wanted on the day before the close, but was stalking with his bow and ran out of daylight.  When he came back the next morning, the bull had shed (I think one antler?).  He shot him and spent the next couple of days looking for the antler (which he found).

Thank God he found the other side, what a nightmare on such a great tag!  From what I’m gathering, more bulls have their gear than those that drop in late nov. Buckjunkie’s bull is an sci world record and he killed it the second to last day in Nov.

So, are you going to be beating the roads to death around Nancy and Deadman creek?

Quick trip over this weekend, snowed about 8-10 inches up in the hills over night. Drive all day and didn’t cut a single moose track, couple cougar, lots of deer and thought in the deep snow we were on a huge bull track… after about 3/4 of a mile tracking, it was a moo cow!!! The deep snow made it hard to tell.  Supposed to be a wind storm tonight till around 11 am tomorrow, didn’t bring a saw so not sure what to do in the AM. Oh well, love this country, we are having a good time!  I will say this though, if you are a democrat, you can kiss my behind!! Just paid over $100 for 17 gallons of diesel, wake the F up dems!!

Had a great morning, had a tip on a couple good bulls so as we we pulled on our road and waited just a couple more minutes, another moose hunter pulled up behind us.  We talked for a minute and he chose to follow us, ok, our tip was for a certain spot which was close so I figured I’d let him pass after a short 1/2 mile. I hate people behind me, I’d rather they just go by.  Well, 100 yards down the road I see a bull cross, we get up to it and it’s just standing 20 yards off the road.  It’s not what we are looking for so I motion to the guys behind us that there is a bull right here. We pull up a ways and watch them shoot the bull, we were happy for them. Then after we unloaded the quad about a mile later, we saw another bull, too small.  But just seeing bull moose is a great day! We didn’t kill anything but we could have! Pics are the bulls we passed on. Heading back on Nov 17 to hunt with Josh from archery Outfitters, hunted with him tonight and is a great guy, he has a ton of moose knowledge!

Thanks man, it’s been pretty great. With my Selkirk tag I only had to pass 1 or 2 bulls, this tag, we have passed up 8 bulls so far. One was pretty tough!  Can’t wait till our last trip!
