Dog for blood tracking
« on: October 05, 2022, 12:35:00 PM »
Hi everyone I have a great buddy of mine that is fighting stage 4 cancer and he wants badly to get an elk before he can no longer hunt well this morning we got him a shot at a bull it appeared to be a good hit with lots of blood but it’s went several hundred yards in some nasty reprod and I’ve lost blood and tracks I was hoping we could hire someone with a blood tracking dog to help with recovery and fulfill his dream of harvesting a bull elk we are in unit 673 Williams creek thank you
Jeff

Did anyone offer to help? Same thing happened to me in that unit on Sunday. I thought about posting an inquiry but I was simply way too far back in there to expect help.

Hey Black Hog, wondering if you ever found anyone to help you out with a tracking dog? I'm in need of the same thing today. I arrowed a deer yesterday evening in GMU 448 and have been trying to follow blood all night. Trails grown cold and I'm going someone near by could help?
