We got the bigger buck in area 4 and mine in area 6. There is elk the seemed to be moving around the day after it snowed we saw 3 cows in area3. If you drive the ridge road between 4 and 3 and glass down into 3 thats were we saw the cows.

Wack, congrats on the success. sorry that your drive and determinatin didnt pay off with a bigger buck. however there will be no tag soup for you this year!. i ended up getting a 19" two point later in the season. saw another couple of small bucks and finally after 25 minutes of thought decided to take the one i did. Hopefully next time i draw the tag i will have luck on my side.
If you can see it....... you can shoot it.

Well two big problems with this area.
1. They are more restrictive in movement Have to now stay in the YTC to get to the areas. No gate 11.
2. Most  areas were closed last weekend and this one. There is plenty of military action for the dec 1-8 hunt.
3. They new require you to make 3 (yes 3) stops before entering the area.

I can deal with 1 and 3, but 2 put a damper on the scouted areas.
Figures.
Moose make VERY odd sounds.
