Nightmare there and gone
« on: October 12, 2022, 05:50:13 PM »
Imagine jumping this fellow and catching a 2 second glimpse of him before he was gone.   A buck of a lifetime.  Would you even get your gun unshouldered?  :chuckle:    I about had a heart attack....

WOWZERS.

IIRC, you were contemplating hunting this year, this buck making you think harder about doing so?

While you have captured some amazing deer, some of your posts seem overly Dr.'d up. Why?

Compression syndrome.   You take a 30mb photo that’s the size of a poster, and reduce it down to roughly a 3x5 image. It’s required to be jpeg. It distorts it all to hell. IHATE IT.   That’s the only thing I can tell. Something changed awhile back between uploading to photobucket and here that made it way worse.

Saving it as a tif  helps tremendously.  You can upload tifs to Facebook but not here.  One of several reasons I post less than I used to.  Having to worry about what you saved your file as, saving two copies, sizing it right for here versus there, all kind of a pain after awhile, especially if you post the photo and there is little interest.

Agree, nice deer. But, a bit spindly in my opinion.  Young deer?  I’d take a dozen inches off for some mass. Great pic though, as usual!
“In common with”..... not so much!!
