(You know where they were from).I think the Park service and the D.O.T suck big time. Lazy asses! (sorry for the outburst)That’s a pretty bold statement to call the plow drivers lazy asses. Especially considering how short staffed they were last year and again this year (yeah I know a few drivers and they work hard as hell to keep the roads open). Maybe point the finger at those in charge not the workers out there risking life and limb on the roadway of getting hit by distracted or other types of drivers. If jay wouldn’t have fired nearly half the staff of DOT on 18 Oct 2021 maybe this crap wouldn’t be happening now. But what do I know.

With the cost of fuel right now I guess the state will save a lot of money not having to sand and plow those roads. So it seems like a good decision to me.

Driving a snowplow is not a piece of cake. Try it in a city that has steep hills and cars parked on both sides of the road, now add a curve in it and on the way down there's a full size crew cab with a 8 ft box sideways in the road. Been there done that. Or your pushing 8 to 12 inches of HEAVY wet snow downhill with a beautiful curl looking like a perfect wave and looking ahead there is a rag top jeep with curtains. Mind you the curl is taller than the jeepThe plowing crews have their hands full give them plenty of much deserved Praise.

Yeah, well if this state had so much extra money then would the gas tax really need to increase by 50 cents a gallon on January 1st?
