Stryker update 12/21/22
« on: November 01, 2022, 04:07:58 PM »
Just received the estimate to repair.  It’s in the insurance company’s hands. Not sure what they’re gonna do with it. Time will tell whether they’ll fix it or replace it. I don’t know

Estimate
Date:         11/01/2022
Exp. Date:    12/01/2022
              $17,962.50

Hey! I'm not a complete idiot I have parts missing. Though sometimes I wonder.

I followed the original thread - and happy all are safe.

I have no idea what the rules are.

Do you think the tug has any liability?

Again, I have no idea on the rules.

I do think their partially responsible. Being they didn’t blow their horn to give me fair warning. At the end of the day they do have the right away. Talking with motion Marine I have the impression my boat will be ready within four weeks🤑🤑🤑

This is crazy, I remember reading your post when you bought it.  Glad all are ok and thanks for posting.  It's not fun to report these things but good reminders and makes it real to see pics and someone we can relate..

Did you have hull damage? All I saw in your pics was windshield and bow rail. Not sure how that gets to $17K, but....

HEY EVERYONE, IF YOU OWN A BOAT, INSURE IT! Is a good reminder.

No hull damage. Replacing the trolling motor was $1850 and then the paint alone was almost 6 grand and it added up really quick at a buck and a half an hour

Wow, ridiculous $/hr....

Our insurance totaled our boat, twice (different companies), because it got wet rolling over.
