I'm in, and my oldest daughter. It's interesting to look back a couple years and see the number of applications we submitted compared to this year. In 2021, it was 24 applications, 2022 was 16 applications. This year only 6. That's 4 for me and 2 for my daughter.

I am finally in. As usual I don't expect to draw but since I put in for Oregon with a good chance to draw there, I could draw here also. Might be a hard sell with the boss to take off 5 or more weeks from work if I do.

I think you used up your WA luck in 2021  :chuckle:

Those multi season tags are definitely a hit to the pocketbook but not as bad as multi state hunting.

Hunting archery deer and pheasants in Washington, deer in Idaho again, killed a real nice whitetail last year in Idaho and going back, hopefully get a chance at another wall hanger, one of the best hunts I’ve been on. Permit applications submitted, not gonna hold my breath but fingers crossed. I did buy an elk tag again because of putting in for permits, haven’t actually went elk hunting in years, quit going after the elk populations went down and stopped seeing them like we used too. I just buy one for special permits. Going in this year with 11 points quality elk, 10 for any ram, 15 for any antlered moose and 13 for goat.

9 apps bought, 7 submitted, 2 points only. Strangely less optimistic this year than any time before. I am expecting an OTC weekend warrior type of season. Good luck all! Let the waiting commence!

Never done it so I can’t speak to it for real, but drawing a special permit must be like a hit of crack! Last time I drew a great tag I was on cloud nine! Lol! You love that feeling, and then afterward you miss it so bad you need it back! But alas, in WA it could take decades to draw another special Permit!
Between WA and OR, my wife and I have like 32 permits submitted! I want that feeling back but now I have fallen so far down….I don’t dare think that way! I don’t want that big let down again! Lol!

My hot streak has gone cold.

From 2009-2016 I drew

White River Archery Elk 2 times
Desert Archery deer
Bull Moose
Olympic Archery elk
Ritzville Archery deer

I need to get back to winning!

Oh and Margaret cow tag

I don't like being with the losers :chuckle:
