Growing up hunting with Dad, there was always that friendly competition while out in the field. When it came to shooting I had my old single shot 20 gauge and Dad his straight shooting Remington 870 Pump.
As the years went by, I got wise to some of his tricks... like letting me always take the first shot, (predicting I would shoot to soon and most likely miss.) By the time he got around to taking his shot, the bird was in perfect position for the shot pattern to bring it down.
After all was said and done, in the end...I think we both came up winners!
Yet I still wondered how his Old Pump could jack out those shells so smoothly.
(Having watched this video, I now understand.)
