Good to see some shooting this last weekend. I checked out the DU reports and they reported slower than normal for this time of year and one hunter was seriously wondering if global warming was real in so many words. 🤣
Don't read my post if facts hurt your feeling.

DU reports seem to only focus on a straight line between NoDak and Arkansas with a general outlook of each coast as a whole. About as useful as a weather report saying winter will be cool. I drive quite a bit and have seen strong numbers since the opener. Goose numbers are ridiculous.

Report this DU! 3 days of decent tides and quality weather is gonna be the demise of bunches for Der Panz and I. Got partners filling seats for some great banter. Get after em!

Kinda quiet around here. Got out this morning for a real quick shoot near the house. Gonna be a great weekend with this weather moving in.

Steady Saturday. I unfortunately lost two.
What country can preserve it's liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon & pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants.

That's a wrap for this week. Great blind banter made for a great compliment to an endless stream of birds.

I’ll premise this by I have no idea what I am doing. I took my son Carson on his first duck hunt. We wrapped up in a blanket in a layout blind for two hours and we’re lucky enough to have a few come into the decoys I set.

The excited smile says it all.  You obviously know what you are doing in the dad department., ducks or no ducks!

I went out yesterday to try a spot I had wanted to hunt but hadn’t because you need a boat to get to it. Finally packed in a boat, got it inflated and made it to the spot about 1:30. I didn’t pack any decoys since this was more a trip to check the spot out and not so much to hunt but I packed my shotgun just in case. I had just got the boat hidden and to this little opening when the first few birds flew over. 3 minutes later and I had my limit of 7 wigeon. Pretty crazy

We smacked a 4 man limit on Friday. Mostly mallards, 2 pintail, and a pair of drake green wings...Great time.
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!
