Another lesson

I've always said one of the reasons I do photography is that its a lot harder to take a good photo of something than it is to shoot it. i had a really good shot of this guy, but a switch was bumped on my lens so it wouldn't focus. by the time i figured it out, he started moving away. Unlike most whities, he paused for a second time. This time my settings were bumped in my camera and i was shooting about 4 steps higher than it was supposed to. i fixed that and he was on the move again. dang if he didnt stop again. i finally got a focus on him through the brush and trees. The 06 would have finished him off long ago.

You always take great pictures. Thank you for sharing. I always struggle with blurred images even when using a tripod. I used to blame the camera, but I have realized it is the operator.

Bone,
Do you have a thread on good outdoor camera gear?
I'm considering making the switch.
Thanks

No I haven’t. It changes so much, I feel I’m learning, lol. Everything is going mirrorless. I just dumped my good camera into the swimming pool this summer so I’m learning fresh.

It's hard to believe you're human and make mistakes like the rest of us mortals
Of course you still get the good shots! That's a beautiful buck, and I like him framed inbetween the two trees. Thanks for sharing
