My opening day archery methow buck. 1 arrow 25 yard shot, 50 yard dash and the work began. Not the biggest but worked out great for my situation this year.

Well you must have picked up this buck relatively close to the road since he's still whole. But a great buck. Congrats!!

Skyvault, actually I had been out of the truck since first lite after about 2.5 hours of easy through the timber I shot him. It was an all down hill drag to the road, took about 1.5 hrs by my self, pretty easy going tell the bottom where it was flat and lots of blow downs. Was going to use the hide for another mount, thought it was going to be fine tell the last 2oo yards the hair finally started to pull, oh well have to get another hide next year.

My Okanogan Highlands buck. A Monday morning, 10:00am sunny day. Had spotted him at 800yds opening day, bedded down. Trouble is he had us spotted too! My boy tried to get a stalk on him with 40 minutes left in the day, but with a bunch of does in between it didn't work. I got lucky and caught him trying to be invisible in a group of trees at 290yds. No monster, but I'm plenty happy.
