Well also one has to take into account the clients ability vs the outfitter or guide. A client can come in say he is in shape or willing to go that extra effort it takes to get a quality animal but compared to the guide or outfitter whos job it is are they really. Sometimes that extra extra effort is what it takes. Also theres the aspect of a outfitter might not have a permit to outfit that quality area but he can hunt it having past knowledge or maybe he had a permit for that area in the past and wasnt able to secure it so he had to go to another area

If the guide isn't deliberately withholding an animal solely for.himself I don't have an issue with it.

If the guide is deliberately withholding an animal and also putting his clients in situations where they're happy with their experience I also don't have an issue with it.

Great bull.  They grow some great bulls and deer in that area.
Cut em!

Man was he beautiful. Look at his coat.

Not great that he was a neighborhood bull but as a guy that lives in Eatonville, I can tell you those big bulls are still hard to kill even if they do live by town.

Look at it, it’s not the same bull.

It's not. The WR P&Y bull had something going on with his left hind leg, you can see it in this picture. It was swelled up like that all three years I photographed him. From what I was told, the P&Y bull was taken when he crossed the highway from state park land and was shot on private land where I had photographed him numerous times. No idea about the new B&C bull but since the chance of one guy drawing that tag twice is infinitesimal, I'm guessing it was a landowner tag. Which, by the way, is the only way a non-resident can hunt elk in that unit.

Ok, I was comparing it to the P&Y bull but it does look like the B&C elk although it's hard to see that last point on the bull's left side. A lot of those elk wander back and forth from State and National park land to private or onto tribal land. I have a friend who lives down there and he has pics of 380-400 inch bulls in his yard.
