Have you tried calling other shops to see if they have any in stock?
MS parts no Bueno. Stihl shops won't use aftermarket. They're throw away saws. I had a 390. Tossed it to the trash 15 years ago

They started putting "MS" in front of all their chainsaw model numbers over 20 years ago at this point. That long of a lead time on a carb sounds like either some sort of weird supply chain problem or the shop is giving you the run around. That saw has been in production since about 2010 or 2011 so I wouldn't think availability would be a concern. Usually a critical part like that is a next day sort of item, since Stihl's regional warehouse that supplies the dealers in this area is in Chehalis.
I've had my MS362 in the shop for 11 weeks waiting for a carburetor. Dealer has no idea when they will get it. Is this the new norm? Afraid to bring my old backup in for service.

They work on loggers saws and I have bought many parts for my Stihl chainsaws over the years from them. They have lots of tips and tricks of tuning saws on their website as well.https://www.madsens1.com/Gary
