Had a proper Washington sage steppe public land deer opener yesterday - plenty of deer, with plenty of (both human and 'yote) predators harassing them. Probably saw 50 deer over the course of the day, including a bunch of young bucks with very few legal 3+ pointers.  I was lucky enough to spot a legal buck in a spot that's a lot more difficult to access, and still thankfully have the legs and back to carry myself in and the deer out.

First one is as he lay, the second is him placed in a position slightly more befitting such a stately creature.

Cheers!

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

As I walked up to him and then looking back down the canyon.
