As of right now, it’s looking to be a banner berry year in my area, but a bit late.

Had a sow and 3 cubs run across the road in front of me Tuesday.  Cubs were really still small, not much bigger than a house cat. Surprised me to see them still that small. Was on the road to Hunters campground and they actually ran down into the campground. Might keep stuff bear proof if headed that way.

Percussion lock if we want to get technical haha. I'm deer hunting with it this year for the first time and I will probably poke around for bear with it some too. Need to get some blood on it to break it in!

As of right now, it’s looking to be a banner berry year in my area, but a bit late.

I just checked one of my close to home spots a few days ago and blackberries are a couple of weeks out but looks like a good crop.
Cherries seemed a little early around here but the salal and oregon grape are just turning ripe.

Anyone want to help me kill one in exchange for a permanent seat in my boat?

Looks like we’re in the same area if you’re from Chehalis. I’m seeing the same. Never seen so many blackberries growing in my spots. The wild plums have been loaded for a couple weeks now and are still good, but cherries are on the way out. I’m thinking the first weekend I’ll still be in the swamp bottoms or in the areas with a lot of Oregon grape. By second week in August the blackberries should be dynamite.
