Damn that sucks. Having to use cage traps here in Washington they are even more obvious, it’s a huge win each trap check just not getting them stolen. Man I hate people. Sorry to hear this is happening and can only hope karma catches up to this POS.

Too bad you didn’t have a trail cam watching that bait. The problem I see is very likely whomever the thief is will likely be working that area again! Your only real answer if you want to keep trapping in that area is to figure out who the thief is and give your info to F&G.
Even here you have so many people walking their dogs behind gates and way up in areas that it’s almost impossible to get away from them . I now earth anchor or lag bolt every cage so that it takes a cut off wheel or bolt cutters to take a cage
