Any yotes near ft lewis?
« on: November 27, 2007, 08:57:40 AM »
I've been calling for yotes in the GP forest, and have had 2 show up in the past 5 outings. It takes about an hour to get to the area I have been going. I live 5 minutes from the pheasant release site on Ft. Lewis, and have often wondered if there are yotes around there. Or yotes close to that area. Or yote hunting areas near roy/yelm/graham/spanaway. Anyone have any sightings? or suggestions? Thanks!

I went to school in yelm years ago and yes there are a lot out that way. Go out to the back side of Wilcox dairy farm and we use to get lots out that way.

When I was younger I lived just outside Ft.Lewis in the town of Steillicom.  We had a greenbelt called Ferrels Marsh that bordered the base,  my friends and I used to sneek onto the base through a hole in the fence.  We saw a lot of coyotes, and big deer in there.
A pat on the back is just shy of a kick in the ass..
