A long time ago the Kalispell tribe was raffling off a buffalo hunt on their reservation. Tickets were 20 bucks a chance I threw 40 into the pot. the state determined that they couldn't have any chances over a dollar so instead of 2 I had 40. I didn't win but during the late buck over here I was over around when they had the harvest. I stopped by to watch the festivities. the winner was made a honorary tribal member for the day. The tribal medicine person blessed the shooter's weapon and then he climbed into the ceremonial jeep. He was transported out to where the unlucky buffalo was minding his own business. The shooter got all lined up over the fence rail. When he shot the noise was quite loud the winner was awarded 1/2 the buffalo.

Still the least expensive raffle is still the Troy Lions Club Raffle. Its 5 bucks a chance and they sell over 8k chances every year. Perhaps the Yakima's could use that as a guideline for their raffle. I'm sure if the cost was less they would get more participant's.

The other photo was just how much it had squatted the front tires on the deere loader.

It was 1370# hung on the rail. At 1.25# cut and wrap I might have to do a loan to cover it.

No Thank you!! Several trips that's why the tribes process them on the spot. Just the robe is more than I care to pack around.

I could have had a  Free one of those Ridge. I was on my moose hunt and came buzzing around a corner way up in the hills from there and there was a buffalo standing in the road. What I didn’t know at the time was I guess it was legal to shoot.  :chuckle: It didn’t really cross my mind

Way to much for me.

That kind of shooting will never happen. Just the cost of regular hunting here in Washingtonstain is too expensive.

Keystone cans in the pic. Who was drinking them? I am trying to find the guy that appears to hunt where ever I go and throws his Keystone cans all over the place. Got to be the number one litter item in hunting areas. Yet to find an area devoid of Keystone cans...still looking for the guy.

Bone was that during the time the Kalispell's had part of their herd make a escape and swim the river? They had a few of their herd make a break for it and swim the river. They tried to collect them back up and the few that didn't come home they said that people could shoot them.

The hole is from the exit. The entrance is just Infront of the shoulder on the same side. I had looked for the exit hole and the only thing I can figure is that the bullet hit the far leg and pinballed down inside and came out there. The bullet clipped the top of the heart. Around and around it goes and came out there.

Keystone seems to be the beverage of choice in Idaho along with many other locations. The majority of the keystone came from the members of the lions club. Along with the local amount of spectators.
