Starting to get better here too.
These came from a non burn area and are at least two weeks ahead of normal.
90* days here in Wenatchee is gonna make them dry up soon after popping, many of these were starting to dry.

3400'  SE facing slope with no trees/shade, lots of brush. Opposite of where I would think this year.

Get out there and give it a go. IMO, the 5000’ areas of sugarloaf are going to be incredible once they pop. As of Sat it was still too early up there.

I'm hoping to get out soon, if pesky work obligations would stop ruining all my fun  :chuckle:

Little recipe I came up with.

Two clove garlic
Quarter stick butter
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon Japanese bbq sauce
Shot glass full of white vinegar.

Take mushrooms soak in water ,get bugs off.
Rinse well ,throw in frying pan with above mixture.
Cook for 5 minutes, medium heat, let mushrooms soak up.
Drain the above mixture, add a flake of butter, saute till brown Carmel color on both side of mushroom, add a shake of black pepper.

I did find another pan full ,really burned out on fried mushrooms.
Came up with this!!!
These be good on steak or burgers or stand alone.
I just ate some recently and was blown away.
Very good ,might not eat fried again.

Happy hunting..
Wife did help with recipe.
Keep finding morels,but no sheds , 😡
