Crabbing Port Susan
«
on:
July 06, 2009, 10:05:18 AM »
Went up to my sons over the weekend for the fourth. We had a great time crabbing on friday and sturday morning ended up with limits between my two sons and me. I think we had maybe 24 really good ones. I smoked some baby back ribs that dogtuk showed me how to make. We really had a great pigout feast on Saturay night. Here are a couple of pics of the crab. Nothing to huge but keepers. And they eat well

This is our third year in a row that we have done very well up there. We usually like to Camp at Kayak point also, at least once during the crabbing season. Their boat launch kinda sucks when the wind is blowing.

The boat launch is a big pain and having a 4x4 is almost a must for that boat launch

My friend pulled up 13 keeper sized ones and ended up keeping 3 due to soft shells. Did you guys have any issues with the shells or did you check?
