Hurt elbow, can't bow hunt for elk. Any ideas?
« on: July 08, 2009, 10:14:20 PM »
I usually bow hunt but messed up my elbow this spring.  Looking to muzzleload or modern rifle, East or West side.

Can offer a meat hunt for deer on a firearm restricted island in the San Juans, all private land.  Great opportunity for a kid's first deer.  Or drift hunt the Chehalis River for ducks.  Or sea duck hunt for old squaw/scoters on open water in the SJ's.  Or bottomfish Westport for Black rocks and Lings. Or crabbing, shrimping, fishing in the San Juans, Decatur Island.

See if you can get a dotors note and get a permit to shoot crossbow.

I think it's got to be a permanent dis for that.   It is starting to get a bit better.  Start some PT tomorrow but don't think I'll be flinging sticks anytime soon.  I finally worked it myself enough to get the gun up to my face again.....  Might be fun to try something different anyways, any ideas out there?

Elbows can be tough!  I tore a muscle a few years ago and it messed me up for two years.  Things that helped me-  PT,  tell your PT how you draw a bow and get them to show you exercises that will help, lighter draw weight, try differant ways to draw like try fingers and differant realeses.
good luck!

If you want to go on a guided rifle hunt for elk in the Cascade Mountains down by the Columbia river I would be willing to do so. You will pay for what ever is needed... Its rugged terrain but the are plenty of elk and its also public land so if your interested let me know.
