Well done, nothing like waiting till the last minute.

Great Job, how about the story...would love to hear how your season unfolded and how you ended up with your nice buck.

Is that a Swakane Buck, Entiat?

This is the 1st year in the last 6 that I didn't chase the late Muleys, boy did I miss it, it is a blast.

Congrats,
Coon

This deer was actually from GMU 373 up on the horse heaven hills.  I think he is what some call a bench leg deer....meaning a cross of black tail and mule deer.  His tail sure looks like a black tail deer.  If you found his sheds you would think they were from a different deer.  one side is a nice 4 point with a good eye guard and the other side is a 3 point but the front fork and another non typical point in between them and a little eye guard.  I think it is very neat and give him great character.  I think he is an older deer but I am no expert by looking at his teeth.

This was my second chance at him this year and it finally come together.  On my first sneak I blew it after 3 hours of crawling around on my belly.  I got 57 yards from him but all the sudden everything that could have went wrong did!!  That's why I love archery hunting..... lots of memories of the ones that got away...

This time he was sneaking away so I got ahead of him and cut him off but he busted us and then decided to bed down so I back tracked and came in from above him and got my chance this time.  52 yard 1/4 away shoot dropped him.  Slick tricks did their job....

My wife got this guy in the same area opening day of rifle season in the same area.  She usually archery hunts but she was 5 months pregnant with our first baby boy....

The fact that it's a bench leg buck even makes it a better trophy.  Congrats on the new addition to the family also.

HEY, that country kinda looks familiar. Nice buck but it looks like you failed to mention something about missing him on a different day, haha! and yeah, I know he's bigger than mine.

Excellent, a job well done by all.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.
You are never to old to learn something stupid.
