Or they didnt draw there eastside bull tag and went to idaho.

Or like me, Montana. ;)

It was only a guess on my part buckmark, I really don't know.

Armadillo, it only shows by GMU in special permits, some people in general hunt more than one GMU in a season.
The things that come to those who wait, may be the things left by those who got there first!

Here is the link for number of hunters for 2007 by gmu.
Add about 10% for 2008.

http://wdfw.wa.gov/wlm/game/harvest/2007/db/elk_all.php

Well that sucks if we're never going to have that information again and all we can do is look at the 2007 data. So in 2020 how close will the hunter numbers be? Still just have to add 10%?

So is there no way to get success rates for any of the general seasons?  I do like having the data for number of antler points but not having hunter numbers or success rates blows!   :bash:

Here is how messed up that is.  There are only 14 permits for elk multiple weapons.  14 animals were taken, that's 100%.  But it says that there were 48 hunters and the success rate was only 29%.  How can there only be 14 permits but 48 hunters?????????????? :dunno:

The multiple-season elk permits had 1500 permits, or something like that. A heck of a lot more than 14 anyway. Or are you talking about multiple-season permit holders that hunted a specific unit ???

I am talking Multiple Weapon as it states in the report.  I don't think that there was 1500 multi-season permits issued was there?  Actually I just went back and looked in another area and it stated 48 permits.  So I'll cut em some slack.

I think the numers ar skewed by hunters thart say they bought a tag and didnt hunt because its easier I know alot of people that hunt and kill animals and report that they didnt hunt at all
If you cant fix it with a hammer you got an electrical problem

You're right, it wasn't 1500. I just looked it up... there were 500 multiple-season elk permits. But that's still a lot more than 14, or 48.
