This is the brush pile the moose emerged from. He came out from the right hand side circling me. I stuck one into him and he turned right at me. Sort of like that video that was out this last year of the bowhunter getting run over. Anyway, becuase of the dip between us, he stopped just down from me, faltered, turned and ran back and died right where Idabooner is hunkered down to the bottom left. If my memory is correct 29 yards to the shot.

Is that the same story where Dwight Schun was bow hunting in the N.W. Territories or the Yukon and stuck that bull that nearly ran him over? I would have had to clean my pants out after that one. It's amazing how close you can call them in during the right conditions. You can be standing along a tree grunting flashing a scapula and have them come right in on you.

No huntnphool, thats an Alaskan bull. Moose tend to come in to about 30 yards then hang up, or rather circle to get downwind. Common for all animals I suppose, but that seems to be about their buffer. Not always the case obviously. Yep Sky, the was it. Good video. That boy was lucky. Even to be stepped on by a moose would or could be critical. I like Dwight. Very nice man and that boy knows his bowhunting.
