I hope it hits 200 in the end.  It has almost the exact look as mine right down to the curling mains, large fronts and that damn weak back.  He has a  little more on every count though.  Mine grossed 193 but had that extra damn point and not matching eyeguards.  Mine had a little more outside, but I bet he has more inside.   Out of any buck I have seen lately, I actually think this one has a shot at 200 net.  I know it doesn't matter as that buck is King no matter what, but it would be cool for him and the hunter if it met that magic mark.

Ditto that!

Wow.  Awesome Buck!!!  Can't wait to hear where he actually got him.  Someone said the Okanogan..  Would love to have the genes of that thing running around even in the same county I hunt!!!

Read through the post again.  It says multiple times on here where it was shot.  Was not the Okanagan.  Here's a hint.  The place starts with a "Yakima" and ends with a "Training Center." :chuckle:
:chuckle:
i didn't get it either.

I didn't see anywhere in the thread before I posted, that said Yakima Training Center.. ??But someone had said Okanogan.. I could have overlooked it or it was in a link I didn't open but don't think so.  But thanks for the correction.

I adjusted the pic a bit to get a better look at the rack. Congrats to the hunter, that is fantastic buck.

His backs look bigger in person than in the pic. And I heard the hunter has an elk tag for the same area   .

I talked to the YTC officer about that buck yesterday. He said that guy logged in out there 30 times this summer for scouting.

Sorry Kimber I was just being sarcastic.  It was shot in the Yakima Training Center.  Some will be pissed becuase I spilled the beans.  But who cares it's not like it's not already public knowledge.  It's not like when they interview him that info isn't going to come out.

There's more info on this guy at muledeercountry.com. Looks like he just going to make the 200" mark. And will be number two in the books

If its really that close he may drop under that mark after the 90 day wait.

The only thing that could help that mammoth rack would have been to have a few spruce in the area. ;)

Some dark color would make that monster look even better.
