Shimano Warranty
« on: September 21, 2009, 09:25:22 PM »
earlier this year while out fishing the tip snapped off of a shimano convergence rod i had purchased just a little over a year ago, after doing a little looking online i discovered that all i had to do was pay shipping to get it down to shimano in california and they would repair my rod(warranty said nothing about replacement), well it had been about 2 months since i had sent my rod in and today i got a package in the mail brought it home opened it up and i had a brand new shimano convergence rod, apparently they could not repair my rod so they sent me a new one, just thought i would share this little bit of info with everyone, i give their service a big thumbs up

Shimano's are great poles for the money, they stand behind their product and there not over priced.

Their rods are ok but their reels are where its at.  Best on the market hands down.

If you are looking for a good steelie rod and money permits you should ask for a loomis/shimano combo.  Loomis rods are the best steelhead/salmon rods on the market  :twocents:
