Largest Blacktail I've ever dreamed of
«
on:
December 23, 2007, 09:50:40 AM »
This was a mount that was on the garage of an old family friend. Its a blacktail from the oregon coast somewhere around the turn of the century. I personally think it would make a run at the world record. He wouldn't take it down for me to stretch the tape. I can't remember if I took Hornseeker there in person or not.

You have no idea how much I cringe to see world record class antlers haning out in the yard.

That is awesome! I was after one similar with my bow in the 80's but he was only around 18" wide, and of course he always gave my the slip! But that one is as cool as I have ever seen!

Other than not matching up perfectly on both sides, he has EVERYTHING, and even though he doesn't match up, he is so frickin big, it may not matter. I know that I wouldn't even mind shooting a muley that big.

Bone is it possible that the horns were stained? Looks like some stain got on his nose. I have known guys to stain or varathane their horns. Reguardless that a great rack

I would guess they could have been stained. They are hanging outside. Its been several years since I have seen them.

Just wondering as the tape on the left antler shows some coloring.
