Will Saylean be able to retrieve the trail cam/Harts Pass?
« on: October 05, 2009, 01:35:18 PM »
I went up last weekend and put the trail cam by Harts pass in an area I hunted last year and plan on hunting this year.

It was snowing and sticking. I plan on picking it up either opening day Modern firearm (Oct 17th) or shortly after (so bout 2 weeks).

The question is...do you think I will be able to pick it up this fall, or have to wait till next spring..? :chuckle:

I will post the results when/if I get it back.

I'm going over on Thursday night, if you need me to go get it Friday morning... Send me a PM and I'll throw you my cell number. Hell... Since there are a few of us going to the Mazama area... I wonder if we should all have a little 3 Finger Jacks GetToGether Friday?

I didn't plan on running to town, but I could. -after I go get that trail cam.  :chuckle:

Should be fun! I hope it gets chilly for us!

I would go to three fingers...but I have a hard time leaving a bar...so I fully avoid them during season. ;)

I keep wondering how my cam is doing up there...or if it is even running now cause of how cold it got...running down the batteries ya know... ;)

13 in Winthrop last night.

Now that my youngest boy is coming with me for the opener, I won't make it quite as high up as you guys until later in the week.

On Thursday evening, if you see a white F250 4x4 with 29' camp trailer skidding east off the pass without brakes and lights hell bent for hunt camp somewhere between west Chewuck and Mazama, -if it looks like the rig is totally out of control and gonna hurt someone, (ME!), then shoot the trailer tires out first, OK.

What do you guys think, how low will snow be on the opener?  Elevation wise?  I don't get to head over till 5:00 friday, takes probaly over 4 hours to get up to where we park, then hike 5 miles in to camp.  :'(  At least I have my sleeping bag waiting for me up there.
