I already put my story up, but thought I'd put the pics here as well.

Skook-Vail Forkie. Good eats and a long awaited accomplishment for me. I'm way more of a fisherman than a hunter, but I love doing both.

Congrats on reaching your goal - great buck!

Thanks guys.
I've been hangin around here near hunting season for the last couple of years. During the off shore season, I'm pretty consumed with the salt. There's a ton of great info and lots of good people here and I'm grateful for all that I've absorbed during my visits.
   Good luck to all.

My daughters first buck.  Nothing for me, but my goal was to get her a deer.

"Curly's" little 2 point blacktail buck that we got yesterday morning out of the Lincoln Creek area. Not much of a story to tell. We glassed a clearcut early in the morning, didn't see anything except a couple other hunters sitting on stumps, so decided to go somewhere else.

Hiked back to the Bronco, drove a couple hundred yards up the narrow, muddy road we were on, and there's a deer in the road. Got the binos on it, it's a 2 point. Deer walks up the road around the bend and out of sight, but he wasn't too concerned about us being there. I shut the rig off, Curly gets out, walks up the road a bit, I hear BOOM!  Buck down, with a neck shot, 10 yards off the road, with a 300 Win. Mag. and a 168 grain Barnes bullet.

Man the pack out was tough.  :chuckle:

Dang Bobcat, if you're going to post a pic of my forkie......you could either photoshop in a few more points or take out the grey from my beard. :chuckle:

He is my opening day buck.

I've hunted almost everyday of my life, the rest have been wasted.
