Opening Weekend Pics and son's 3rd deer
« on: October 29, 2009, 09:29:00 AM »
Just getting around to posting some pics from opening weekend over East of the mountains.  Had a great time and good success.  My boy got his thrird deer and completed his "Washington Deer Slam" with a Blacktail , Muley and now a Whitetail.  He made a great shot at the bedded buck at 200 yards.  His cousin, grandpa and uncle all got their deer.  We were really happy to see the boys and my dad connect.  I'm the only cull that didn't connect.  Holding out for something big and went home empty handed.  Been hunting a particular big blacktail almost every day since I've been back, and he keeps giving me the slip.  I've got a couple more days to "seal the deal" or wait another year for a crack at him.

Nice bucks! 8)

Congrats guys! great to gramps, dads and kids out together. You better be careful Nathan, Scout is going to start to show you up if he keeps up this pace. One more day to get your black tail.
