Try to decoys your birds close and pick them out.  When the legs drop look for shine, it you see and glimps of shine or a reflective surface, dirt them.

I would be telling a lie to even try and guess how many ducks i have killed. I have only shot one banded duck! I have gave plenty of shots away I.E " you shoot that drake" and guess what it's banded few years ago i gave a guy a shot. The duck was coming from my side and he didn't even see it. I told him "hey shoot this drake" guess what! double banded $100 reward duck FML!!! i was pissed. I should have about 6 or so by now if i would have shot all the ducks I have given away. At this point in my life i pretty much have decided that I'm cursed and don't really get down on the fact that i never kill bands.

I hunted snows today with Bryce and Royce from north sound waterfowl and did pretty good. Our group brought home 14 snows, one nice mature, and three gwt's. We were shy of our limit, but if we could shoot better things might be different lol. I'll post pics tomorrow, I'm out with my wife posting from my phone right now...

good luck tomorrow!!

I'm gonna hit the snows tommorow morning then off to Deadfowls territory to hunt with some teachers from wa-hi. Never hunted in Walla Walla before so it will be a nice change of pace!

how many decoys do you have? My brother and I are thinking about spending some money and investing together, and my father in law mentioned he might be willing to drop a couple hundred $$ on some snow deeks too.

i took the top end out of my truck :/ the cam shaft has been worn down and the bearings on the cylinder head are worn down and there is metal shavings from the cam and cylinder. so we pulled it all out and found out that the pistons have also been impacting the head and have dented the pistons and the head :/ looks like its gonna be a little $$$ to fix

yup, just bought the damn thing too, its an 89 dodge ram 50, dinky little thing, got it for the gas mileage and the extreme need for a vehicle, it was only 900$ so you figure in about half that in repair in the first couple years, so far bills up to about $250, calling the machine shop today so i dont know the cost of the new head or machining of the head yet, but all in all its a fun project, easy to work on truck, especially for a mechanic noob like me
